About VerifyCalc

What we build

VerifyCalc exists because most calculators on the web either hide their formula, bury the answer under ads, or ask you to create an account. Every VerifyCalc tool shows the formula it uses, defines each variable, and walks through a worked example so you can reproduce the result by hand.

Calculation methodology

All arithmetic runs in your browser. We use published, citable methods — Mifflin–St Jeor for resting metabolic rate, the US Navy circumference method for body fat, standard amortization for loans and mortgages, and jurisdiction-published brackets for tax estimates. Where a formula has competing variants, we say which one we implemented.

Review and updates

Each calculator page carries a last-updated date. We revisit rate tables, tax thresholds and clinical guidance on a rolling schedule, and we correct anything a reader reports.

Privacy

Calculations never leave your device — there is no server round-trip and no calculation history stored. See our privacy policy for what our hosting provider and advertising partners do collect.

Accessibility

We target WCAG 2.1 AA: keyboard-operable controls, labeled inputs, visible focus states and contrast-checked color tokens in both light and dark themes.

Limitations

Results are estimates for general guidance. They are not financial, medical, legal or tax advice, and they cannot account for your individual circumstances.
